Making homemade frozen digestive treats for dogs is a great way to provide them with a tasty and healthy snack. Especially, pumpkin is known for its digestive benefits in dogs, and freezing it can make for a refreshing treat, particularly on hot days.

Let's take some notes from the pet supplement brand @medipups, which shared a video posted on September 14 of how to make easy and healthy frozen dog treats using pumpkin puree, and you may want to save this post. Let's find out more!

It's even good for humans, as human-grade ingredients were used that are also dog-safe.

Not only is this recipe super easy and healthy, but it's also budget-friendly and better for your dog's health than store-bought treats, which are often full of fillers and additives.

All you need is 1 cup of organic pumpkin puree, but make sure it's pure pumpkin puree without added sugar or spices; 1 cup of plain organic Greek yogurt; a tablespoon of organic peanut butter that's free of xylitol; and a little raw honey.

Mix it all up in a bowl and transfer the concoction to some silicone molds.

Plus points if you use silicone paw molds, as shown in the video.

Then freeze it for a few hours, and voilà, you have some healthy treats ready for your pups.

Pumpkin is a great aid to boost your dog's digestion, due to its high fiber content, and can help with constipation but also with diarrhea.

Greek yogurt is a great source of probiotics, which also help with digestion, while peanut butter adds flavor to the mix.

As we know, dogs love peanut butter!

Last but not least, raw honey can help with allergies, such as pollen, as many dogs, just like humans, can suffer from allergies.

I'm sure your dog will enjoy this dog treat very much; I know my dog does!
