Travis Kelce

Many celebrities have weighed in on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's relationship since they went public with their romance. Although the general opinion seems overwhelmingly positive, The View co-hosts Sara Haines and Sunny Hostin suspect the Kansas City Chiefs star is "hiding" something.

In response to Kelce's WSJ. Magazine interview—during which he explained he was initially guarded in the media as to not push Swift away—Haines and Hostin weighed in on the NFL player's intentions with the pop star.

“Some of the things he said raised some red flags for me,” Hostin said on the Tuesday, Nov. 21 episode of The View. “He said, ‘The biggest thing to me: Make sure I don’t say anything that would push Taylor away.’ What is he hiding then?”

She added: “For me, I want to know the good, the bad and the ugly up-front...He's sending in his representative so that he doesn't offend her in any way. That’s not real life. Like, people offend you sometimes and they make you upset."

Meanwhile, Haines chimed in with her hesitations regarding Kelce.

"The red flag for me was when he admitted to thinking about retirement," she shared. "And the quote was: 'He confesses he thinks about it nonstop more than anyone could ever imagine.'"

Haines continued: “He is huge in the football world, and then you go to Taylor Swift land, and I think that if you were thinking about next chapters, this would be lovely."

When co-host Joy Behar asked if Haines was suggesting that Kelce "wants to retire to live off her," Haines clarified: “No, he has millions, but he’s, like, on a podcast, he likes comedy. I think he’s looking for a second act."

Alyssa Farah Griffin ended the segment by issuing a warning to Swift.

"It is hard at that level of celebrity to find people with the right intentions," Griffin said. "He seems like a very nice guy, and I root for them, but I do think she has to be careful."
