Little Athens offers a taste of Greece in Bucyrus, and it continues expanding its menu. Most recently with fresh Smash Burgers, original and Greek varieties, and loaded street gyros.

“Our newest addition to the menu would be the Smash Burgers,” said Anastasia Gasuras, the daughter of from Little Athens owner Chris Gasuras.

The original one is built with two charbroiled smash patties seasoned with a signature spice blend, topped with American cheese, sautéed onions and new gold sauce.

The Greek Smash Burger is made with two charbroiled smash patties seasoned with a signature spice blend, topped with American and feta cheeses, sautéed onions, tomatoes and tzatziki sauce.

Nothing like a Loaded Street Gyro

Another newer addition, according to Gasuras, is Loaded Street Gyro, which is about double the size of the original with fries inside of it, feta cheese, double meat, double Tzatziki sauce, topped with lettuce, onions, tomatoes, feta cheese, Greek spices and wrapped in pita bread.

Gasuras said since new food trucks are coming to Bucyrus, the owner of Little Athens decided he was going to try to do his own Greek spin on that “in a competitive type of way" by changing up the menus.

Little Athens stands out in Bucyrus downtown due to its cozy Greek facade.

The interior of the restaurant resembles one of the Greek boats frequently seen along the country’s indented sunny coast from Corfu in the North to the country’s capital Athens closer to the south.
