Editor's note: Each week online The Daily Record features good eats, whether from a restaurant, a store, a food truck or elsewhere. Check back each week to see 🍲 What's Cooking.

On a visit to either Orr Valley Creamery location, customers can expect a warm welcome, fast and friendly service with a smile, and unforgettable custard, hand dipped ice cream and other delicious hot food offerings.

"Our motto is Scooping Happiness Into Life and we practice what we preach," said Diane Jarrett, who along with her husband, Mike, opened the original store at 1402 N. Main St., Orrville, in October 2022. "We are excited to open as Orr Valley Creamery in our newest location, the former Guerne Heights Drive-in at 3004 Dover Road, Wooster."

Manager Tanner Bruder says the Coney Dog made famous at Guerne Heights will remain on the menu at Orr Valley Creamery, which purchased the Wooster drive-in and is now open for business.

While the name has changed at the Guerne Heights location, some things have remained the same.

The famous Coney Dog is still on the menu

"We have kept the Guerne Heights Coney Dog with the same recipe and ingredients as before," Jarrett said. "The operating system inside the restaurant was completely updated, including new fryers, griddles, freezers, blenders and custard making machines."

Custard and ice cream offerings are similar between Orrville and Wooster locations.

"Both locations offer fresh waffles cones and our famous Sarasota concretes, a blend of homemade custard with mix-ins of your choosing," she said. "Hard ice cream flavors vary and are posted on social media and at the order window in Wooster."

The former Guerne Height Drive-in location along U.S. Route 250 east of Wooster, is now a second Orr Valley Creamery location. Among the eatery's offerings are waffles cones and Sarasota concretes, a blend of homemade custard with mix-ins of customer choosing.
