Nini Iris, Sophia Hoffman

It was night three of the Battles on season 24 of The Voice and coaches Reba McEntire, John Legend, Gwen Stefani and Niall Horan were having second thoughts about the pairings they came up with as they were having difficulty deciding which of their two teammates would move on to the three-way Knockouts and who would go home.

Of course, there are still several Steals remaining in play. Gwen Stefani has used both of hers for Tanner Massey from Team Niall and CORii from Team Reba, and Reba used one of her two Steals to get Jacquie Roar on her team. That means that Reba has one Steal left and John and Niall have both of theirs.

Winner: Nini Iris

Niall said: “I chose Nini as the winner because Nini has something special. She has this thing where you can’t keep your eye off her. There’s a gap in the world of music for someone like Nini and all she has to do is a run a straight line into it. I can’t wait to see what Nini brings to the Knockouts. It’s going to be fun.”

Battle Round 2: Calla Prejean vs. Chechi Sarai from Team Gwen

Song: “I Will Never Love Again” by Lady Gaga

Winner: Chechi Sarai

Gwen said: “It was a real hard decision, but I just know that Chechi has what it takes to have a flawless performance. She has an original sound. She is somebody I can really work with and I can help her. I’m excited for her.”

Battle Round 4: JaRae Womack vs. Lila Forde from Team Legend

Song: “Killing Me Softly with His Song” by Roberta Flack

Winner: Lila Forde

John said: Something about Lila just stood out. It’s this slinky, beautiful, classic ‘70s singer/songwriter. She was demanding to advance to the Knockouts. I believe I have a couple of people on Team Legend that could win The Voice.

Steal: Mac Royals

John said: “Mac has the kind of voice that I love to listen to. He’s just right in my wheelhouse. He has the stage presence, the confidence. He just feels like he should be a star right now. I want to hear a Mac record. Maybe he should have always been on Team Legend. Time to come on home, Mac.”
