Jaquie Roar, BIAS

The Voice season 24 Battles will continue on Monday night, but first, Parade has your sneak peek at the fierce competition between Gwen Stefanis four-chair turn Jacquie Roar and two-chair turn BIAS as the two attacked Jelly Roll’s “Need a Favor.”

When the Battle ended, John Legend borrowed a page from Matthew McConaughey saying, “All right, all right, all right,” while Gwen worried, “What am I going to do?”

“You two were electric,” John continued. “I enjoyed every moment; I loved your interaction. And y’all were singing, too! Jacquie, your voice is so powerful, and your range is so wonderful. BIAS, I couldn’t take my eyes off of you. You were just so enjoying every moment. I loved the way you interacted with her and goaded her on a bit, too. It was like your energy was playing off of each other really well. If I were to choose my favorite, I would pick BIAS. I lean a little toward BIAS.”

Gwen said, “You’re biased toward BIAS.”

Then John explained to BIAS, “I felt the star power coming from you.”

“Wow,” said Reba McEntire, who was the other coach who turned for BIAS during the Blind Auditions. “You both were so full of energy. Jacquie, your vocal is very, very strong. BIAS, you’re up there just bouncing around. You look like a 12-year-old out there having fun.”

BIAS comments on that saying, “Whatever it takes Reba, whatever it takes!”

Then Gwen asks Reba to help her out: “What would you do if you were Gwen Stefani right now?”

But the country queen isn’t much help saying, “I’d take both of them!” After some kidding around about the outfit that Jacquie is wearing, Reba says, “I’d have to take Jacquie.”

Then it’s Niall Horan’s turn to offer his advice. He says, “I can’t believe what I just watched. Jacquie, your voice is just crazy. It’s so hard to sing a song like that and have that much control. BIAS, it was so fun to watch. People will sometimes look at you and forget how good of a singer you actually are just because they’re looking at the stage presence and you’re bouncing around the place and it’s very easy to, “I can’t keep my eyes off of him.’ Both of you didn’t put a foot wrong, but BIAS, you were absolutely brilliant. I thought you both were very good.”

When Gwen asks him to pick, Niall adds, “I don’t know if even your best friend can help you now. This is my least favorite part of the show to be honest. I’d lean toward BIAS.”

But, of course, the decision is Gwen’s. She says, “BIAS, your unbelievable character of who you are is so strong. It’s really hard like John said to keep my eyes off of you. I’m just so curious about you. You’re so weird and cool. I really didn’t think during the Blinds that you had the vocal that you have. And even from rehearsals, you took it to another level. And Jacquie, you’re everything. You’re beautiful, right? You have so much confidence, your voice can do everything. You’re singing country but you could sing anything. I told all these coaches, ‘Guys, you’ve got to help me on this one because I’m so confused.’”

And as Reba points out, they’re split. John and Niall favored BIAS, Reba preferred Jacquie, so what will Gwen do?

Tune in to The Voice on Monday night for the second night of Battles at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC to find out who will move on to the Knockouts.
