Night three of AGT season 18 featured performances from 11 artists—Barry Brewer Jr., Herwan Legaillard, Justin Jackson, MOS, Mzansi Youth Choir, Phil Wright & the Parent Jam, Philip Bowen, Putri Arianai, Summer Rios, Trigg Watson, and Warrior Squad—who are all hoping to make it through to the finale.

From all the artists who received at least three yeses this season, the judges selected 55 contestants to perform on the Live Shows. They are divided up into 11 acts performing over five nights and from each night, only two are voted through by America and make it into the finale.

The four artists who made it through to the AGT finale to date were Heidi Klum’s Golden Buzzer Lavender Darcangelo; Adrian Stoica and Hurricane, Simon Cowell’s favorite dog act; mute comic Ahren Belisle; and Howie Mandel’s Golden Buzzer French dance troupe Murmuration.

As the 11 artists waited to learn their fate, Terry introduced a montage of Tuesday night’s performances.

“I think last night was the best Live Show we have had so far. There were three or four exceptional moments and for me one outstanding moment,” Simon said, the latter referring to his Golden Buzzer Putri Arianai.

The first pair of artists to get their results from host Terry Crews were Summer Rios and MOS. The first act through to the Top 5 was MOS.

The next result dealt out by Terry went to the Mzansi Youth Choir and Herwan Legaillard. The Mzansi Youth Choir was the next act to make the Top 5.

Terry next called up Justin Jackson and Putri Arianai. It was no doubt that Putri was going through to the Top 5 over Justin Jackson, and that was how the vote went.

“I don’t want to jinx anything, but as it stands right now, America always gets this right, so fingers crossed. What you did last night was one of my favorite-ever live performances,” Simon told her.

Before more results were announced, the judges and Terry appeared in a package in which they talked about the first time they were recognized when they first became famous, and then some of this season’s contestants talked about getting recognized for the first time as well.

Then last season’s Top 5 finalists and country group Chapel Hart returned to the AGT stage for a performance of its new single "Fam Damily" from its Glory Days album.

Next, there was a video package of AGT memes featuring the judges and Terry.

Following that entertainment break, Terry called up Trigg Watson, Barry Brewer Jr., and Philip Bowen to get their results. Violinist Philip Bowen got the good news that he was still in contention for the finale.

The final spot in the Top 5 was between Philip Wright & Parent Jam and Warrior Squad. Again, it was clear who was going through. Parent Jam had been buzzed by Howie on Tuesday night. Warrior Squad learned they were moving into the Top 5.

Then it was time for the reveal of the Top 3: Mzansi Youth Choir, Putri Arianai, and Warrior Squad.

“All of you touched my heart last night. You were powerful, you were strong. All of you deserve to go to the next round,” Heidi said.

So who made the Top 2? The first act going through to the finale announced was Mzansi Youth Choir, followed by Putri Arianai.

America’s Got Talent airs Tuesday and Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
