'AGT' Judges Make Tough Calls on 55 Acts Who Will Make Live Shows

The auditions are over and the judges have culled through all the acts that they approved to select the 55 best of the best to perform on America’s Got Talent Live Shows.

The performances will begin on Tuesday, Aug. 22 with 11 or so of the acts performing for America’s votes. The 55 acts moving on include an impressive variety of singers, dancers, comedians, magicians, ventriloquists and danger acts.

Each week the two acts that receive the most votes from the viewers will move directly into the finale. Then the Top 10 finalists will be joined by an 11th act that is voted into the finale via an Instant Save, chosen by the viewers on Wednesday, Sept. 20. In the running for this final Instant Save spot will be four previously eliminated Live Show acts, each selected by one of the judges.

The finalists will be competing for a $1 million prize and a headlining spot in “America’s Got Talent Presents SUPERSTARS Live” at Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Throughout the live shows, viewers of “America’s Got Talent” will have a chance to vote for their favorite act at NBC.com/AGTVote and via the “AGT” App (available through Google Play and on the App Store).
