Watch: Legendary Surfer Occy is Still Throwing Buckets After All These years

Australia's Mark "Occy" Occhilupo is a living legend.

After decades on tour, the 1999 World Surfing Championship, and more than his fair share of ups and downs—Occy's still ripping.

The video below proves it, too. It's short, but that's okay. Because watching Occy surf for 39 seconds is better than not watching him surf at all.

The video was shared by JS Industries and shows Occy shredding on their Raging Bull model.

According to the board's description:

"Over the last year, Occy’s fallen back in love with surfing all over again. He’s in the water more, working on boards constantly with JS, and revisiting all of his old favourites to combine the best of the last decade with our next golden era… Right now.

"The Raging Bull is an incredibly forgiving, versatile travel board that will be your go-to for better days at home and any time you’re lucky enough to be away chasing proper waves.

"It has all of the elements Occ wanted to make performance surfing easy. User-friendly, but with the ability to handle heavier conditions and powerful surfers. Compared with our other models built for quality surf, there’s a lot of differences here..."

JS wrote that Occy's favorite part is what he calls the “Raging Bull thickness," which means the strategic "generous distribution of volume throughout the board that goes hand in hand with thicker stock dimensions."

According to JS, Occy says it “lets you leave it on rail forever.”

Viewers were stoked to see Occy surfing. Check it out:

"That lip needs a medical plan"

"That bottom turn"

"Style, power and flow. A few modern day pros could learn a thing or two watching this"

"So stoked to see Occy still ripping. How old is he now? I'm 51 and still trying to get it done :)"

"The return of Occy, second time. The GOAT. Like Heifara Tahutini in TAHITI."
