Walmart Just Announced a Too-Good-To-Pass-Up Sale on Summer Cookout Staples

When the weather warms up, we start dreaming of gathering en mass with friends and family over burgers, dogs, ribs, pasta salads, and watermelon wedges. Those gatherings usually take the form of cookouts, barbecues, and picnics, where food will be the highlight.

One of the great things about hosting a gathering is that you can ask guests each to bring a dish—like dessert—to share, but as host, you still need to provide the basics. The cost of those basics can add up quickly, but we have good news.

As it did last year, Walmart is dropping prices on summer staples that are perfect for a cookout for eight people. When bought together, the hot dogs, buns, sides, treats, and more come to just about $6 a person. That’s a pretty great deal, and it runs through July 12, taking us through Memorial Day, Father’s Day, and Fourth of July. There’s no limit on the number of times you can take advantage of this deal—as long as supplies last—so go ahead and plan shindigs on all three holidays, plus a few extra get-togethers just for fun.
