By now, it’s safe to say that Soft Services is one of the internet’s favorite body care brands. Anytime they release products, they instantly go viral, and for good reason. Take the brand’s much-loved Smoothing Solution or Theraplush Overnight Repair Treatment, for instance. Both have become such major hits for beauty lovers across social media since they relaunched that I’m sure their latest drop will be just as successful. I had the pleasure of testing Soft Services’ new Green Banana Buffing Bar for the past week, and I can tell you it does not disappoint.

I’m sure by the product title, you can probably imagine it smells like green bananas, you guessed it. However, it’s not overtly tropical or fruity like you might think. The brand describes it as “the lush verdant sweetness released when cracking open a not-quite-ripe banana fruit.” And as someone who strictly only eats not-quite-ripe bananas (please don’t judge me; it’s a texture thing), I can attest that they hit the smell right on the head. It also has soft notes of tonka bean and musk that make for a very relaxing experience.

The Green Banana Buffing Bar’s fragrance is light and not overpowering, making it a perfect companion for any other body wash. You won’t have to worry about conflicting scents. In fact, its scent is so inviting that it makes me want to use it more, even though I’m not a fan of exfoliating. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed using this new buffing bar, solely because of its scent. It’s a game-changer for me.

Don’t get me wrong; this bar still does the job, just like the classic. Immediately after pressing it onto my body, I could feel the tiny crystals working against the roughness of my skin. And since the bar has an excellent soothing and moisturizing formula, I didn’t feel like my skin was left raw. If anything, after rinsing, my skin felt rather nourished. The Green Banana Buffing Bar will be an absolute must-have for the summer to help rid KP, in-growns, or bumpy strawberry legs and reveal soft, touchable skin this season.
