Video of a Cat Assisting in an Obstacle Course Is Downright Impressive to Watch

When you were a kid, did you play the board game Mouse Trap? It's one of those kinds of games that is like a domino effect: you push on one and the whole thing is supposed to fall. It's also called a Rube Goldberg machine. In this video that @ESPN shared on Thursday, November 2nd, a family is working on one of their own Rube Goldberg machine, and they get some help from their cat!

The video starts by showing the beginning of the course, where a ball is rolled downstairs from upstairs via a measuring tape that's balancing on a ladder. The ball continues to roll across the floor, hitting several obstacles. It continues on its path until it gets to the cat who sees the ball coming and stops it at the very end. There's only one more obstacle to get through before it's over, and the cat makes the final assist!

How fun was that to watch?! The cheering and excitement at the very end of @ESPN's video was palpable and I found myself cheering along for the family and their pet cat's epic final move!

I loved the caption too, "Big-time players make big-time plays" it's so true. The cat could've messed the whole thing up but redeemed itself by completing the course perfectly. Commenters loved the performance too. @Jackson said, "Cat's a paid actor"... I was thinking stunt cat! Kai Babet added, "The cat knew exactly what it was doing". @JennyH206 pointed out, "The joy this clearly brings the whole family!" @jodig45678 made me laugh with, "Cat brought the drama!!!!"

This video totally made my day! I smiled, laughed, and cheered right along with the family. And I think it's clear to say that the cat was the GOAT for this game!
