Venon 2

Venom 3 will now release November 8, 2024, as production resumes following the end of the Hollywood actor and writers’ strikes.

It was originally due for release in July next year, but the delay means it can finish filming and post production, according to a report by Variety.

Venom 3 stars Tom Hardy as the antihero, with direction from Kelly Marcel. Although it’s her first movie as director, Marcel wrote the original Venom and its sequel, as well as Saving Mr Banks and Fifty Shades of Grey. She has previously worked as script editor with Tom Hardy on the movie Bronson.

Juno Temple (The Dark Knight Rises) and Chiwetel Ejiofor (Dr Strange and the Multiverse of Madness) join the cast for the threequel.

Venom 3 joins a long list of movies that have been delayed due to the strikes, with Marvel announcing that the upcoming Deadpool 3, Captain America: Brave New World, Thunderbolts and Blade have all had their release dates pushed back.

Venom most recently featured in the highly-acclaimed Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 for PS5, and the alien symbiote is also due to get a new series from Marvel Comics next year, looking at what would happen if it bonded with Wolverine, She-Hulk, Moon Knight and others.
