Velveeta Satisfying Cravings With Many 'Delicious' Additions

Velveeta is no longer just a loaf that needs to be prepared into creamy queso or the company that makes Shells & Cheese dinner boxes.

The household brand has officially launched into the ready-to-eat snack category with a brand-new line of a summer staple that'll have fans asking, "Why didn't anyone think of this sooner?"

In addition to its original "Liquid Gold" cheese sauce loaf, the Kraft Heinz-owned company is now making jars of Velveeta Queso in three "delicious" flavors: Queso Con Salsa, Queso Blanco and Jalapeño.

While the cheese brand's loaf queso recipe–which serves 20 people–isn't going anywhere, the new resealable jars were made for fans who may not host groups large enough to justify melting down an entire block of Velveeta or need a quicker way to get their dip on. According to an announcement shared with Parade, the jars of ready-to-eat queso "offer a convenient way for fans to enjoy their favorite cheese in small groups or on their own."

The new lineup is part of Velveeta's ongoing mission to get consumers to live "La Dolce Velveeta" by "unapologetically embracing pleasure by indulging in the things they love most."

That's not all, though. The company also revealed it would expand its Shells & Cheese varieties for the first time in nearly 12 years by adding three new options.

Two of the three new Shells & Cheese products are introducing new flavors after Velveeta saw fans' appreciation for bold and spicy seasonings and decided to add a pizza-flavored Shells & Cheese, as well as a buffalo sauce-inspired variety to its lineup.

Additionally, the original version of Velveeta Shells & Cheese will now be available in a gluten-free version to make the fan-favorite boxed meal available to even more consumers.
