Utah Ski Resort Sells Out Of Daily Lift Tickets For Holiday Weekend

Deer Valley, Utah, is one of the many resorts prepping for the long weekend, writing to Instagram, "We are getting excited for the holiday weekend at Deer Valley."

Unfortunately, officials at the resort remind everyone that "Deer Valley Single-day Lift Tickets and Ikon Pass Reservations are currently sold out for February 17-19, 2024."

However, this comes from a place of improving guest experience: limiting how many lift tickets are sold also limits the number of people who can ride the lifts and ski the slopes. In other words: crowd control.

Additionally, Deer Valley is improving guest experience this weekend by opening early to extend mountain operational hours.

"We strongly suggest guest pre-purchase lift tickets in advance to guarantee access to the mountain."

One ski patroller named Max and his rescue dog, Tingo, talk to the camera, hyping up the conditions for the weekend.

"If you're coming out, we had a lot of snow this past week. Looks like we might even get some more snow this weekend, so we'd love to see you come say hello."

Someone in the comments asked how they can meet Tingo "without getting rescued." We were wondering the same thing.

Sometimes, the best part of skiing at the resort, as crazy as it may sound, is the other people (and animals) on the mountain.
