Utah Ski Resort Closed Indefinitely Following Fire

Early Monday morning, portions of Nordic Valley Ski Resort, Utah's base area were severely damaged in a fire, forcing the resort to announce an indefinite closure the following afternoon.

"Due to these unforeseen circumstances, Nordic Valley will be closed until we can get equipment to print & validate tickets," the resort wrote on Instagram.

Weber Fire District firefighters responded to the fire around 2 A.M. on Monday, January 15th. While the lodge remained standing after the fire, Nordic Valley's General Manager Pascal Begin told KSL NewsRadio it would fall soon, rendering it unsafe for use.

"The entire team will be working tirelessly to get the resort running again to welcome guests back to the mountain," the resort wrote on Instagram.
