Is it possible that Usher will take on two major life events in one trip to Las Vegas?

Many of the “Yeah!” singer’s fans certainly seem to think so. The first of the two major events is, of course, Usher’s Super Bowl Halftime Show performance, which the NFL confirmed last September.

The second major event that fans suspect Usher of planning is more personal. Before the Super Bowl kickoff on Feb. 11, The Daily Mail reported that the “My Boo” singer and his girlfriend, Jenn Goicoechea, were planning to get married after his show.

Parade can confirm that the couple have a Nevada marriage license all lined up and ready to go. The license, which was obtained on Feb. 8, is on file with the Clark County Clerk’s Office.

Goicoechea, who works as the senior vice president of A&R at Epic Records, has dated Usher for more than three years. The first public documentation of their romance came in 2019, when they were photographed together at the Hollywood Bowl. Usher shares his two youngest children—Sovereign, 3, and Sire, 2—with Goicoechea.

Usher has been married two times before. He had two sons—Usher V, 16, and Naviyd, 15—with his first ex-wife, Tameka Foster. Usher and Foster were married in 2007 and divorced in 2009. He later married Grace Miguel in 2015, but the couple separated in 2018 and later divorced.

Usher has said that he is very excited to perform at the Super Bowl Halftime Show. During an interview with CBS’ The Talk on Feb. 8, the performer said he is trying to focus on enjoying the experience, which his two oldest sons were helping him shape.

Both Usher V and Naviyd shared notes with their father on which songs they felt he should add to his Halftime Show setlist and which he should nix, according to the “Love in This Club” singer. Though Usher indicated his children won’t join him on stage during the show, he told The Talk that they will “be around” when he performs.
