Travis Kelce is currently seeing where things go in his rumored romance with Taylor Swift, but the two's connection almost didn't happen, despite the football player's best efforts. Luckily, two people stepped in with a little help, and Kelce finally got to meet up with the Cruel Summer singer.

Back in July, Kelce first tried to give Swift his number during an Eras Tour stop, but it didn't go according to plan. Then came sports commentators Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson,  who took advantage of their podcast, Calm Down with Erin & Charissa, and its public platform to bring Swift's attention to all Kelce has to offer.

As Swift attends Kansas City Chiefs games in support of Kelce, Thompson shared a throwback clip of their announcement in August, when Andrews said, "Taylor, I don't know what you're doing in your life right now besides rocking the world. Please, try our friend Travis. He is fantastic."

She added, "I know we're not the best of friends, we're not even friends, but I consider you one. Take us up on this. Go on a date with this guy."

"Do it for yourself, do it for us, and do it for the people," added Thompson. "Because there is no one who would give you a better time than this guy."

The new post was captioned, "Just saying … 🤷🏼‍♀️🫶🏽 @erinandrews & I recorded this episode back on August 3rd."

Kelce seemed to believe he should give credit where credit's due, commenting on the Oct. 2 throwback post, "😂😂 You two are something else!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 I owe you big time!!"

Fans were just as thankful, with one writing, "Thank you for manifesting this. Really hope they can work out! 😂."

"Best wing women!" said another.

On Oct. 1, Swift attended Kelce's game for the second time as the Chiefs played the New York Jets. This time around, she brought along a bunch of friends, including Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, Sophie TurnerHugh Jackman, and even her brother, Austin Swift.
