The Trader Joe’s Snack That’s “100x Better” Than Jingle Jangle Is Back

It didn’t last 12 hours in my house.

Trader Joe’s has a way of turning the snack world upside down. Need proof? Thanksgiving Stuffing Seasoned Popcorn should just about do it. Pizza Party Potato Chips with flavors of cheese, garlic, pizza sauce, and pepperoni could do it, too. The store keeps shoppers on their toes by making many of its most innovative snacks seasonal, so they disappear without warning, leaving fans anxiously awaiting their return the following year.

One seasonal snack that Trader Joe’s customers particularly love is Jingle Jangle, a holiday snack mix with milk chocolate-coated mini pretzels, dark chocolate-covered caramel popcorn, dark chocolate-covered Joe Joe’s cookie pieces, mini milk and dark chocolate peanut butter cups, and red candy-coated milk chocolate gems.

Fans adore it so much that Trader Joe’s created a spring version of the mix that gets just as much love from customers as the original. But is it worth the hype? This should sum it up: the bag of the snack mix, which my family had never tried before, didn’t last more than 12 hours in my house.

Trader Joe’s Brought Back Fan-Favorite Springle Jangle

The bag of Springle Jangle is described as “a cheerful of fan-favorite candy treats.” More specifically, those treats include:

  • Candy yogurt-coated micro pretzels with drizzle

  • Butter toffee peanuts

  • Nonpareils with spring-colored sprinkles

  • Broken pieces of dark chocolate Joe Joe’s cookie bark

  • Milk chocolate peanut butter cups

  • Dark chocolate peanut butter cups

  • Pastel-colored candy gems

Commenters on a Trader Joe’s Reddit forum have called it “100x better than Jingle Jangle,” maybe because as another commenter mentioned it doesn’t have the “soggy stale popcorn covered in brown wax” you'll find in the holiday Jingle Jangle. Another Reddit user echoed a similar sentiment, writing, "My controversial yet brave opinion: Springle Jangle is better than Jingle Jangle."

Another commenter on the Springle Jangle thread said, ”I got three bags to give away and ended up eating all three myself.” That did not surprise me. I had a handful and the sweet, salty, chocolate-peanut butter mix was really good, although I threw the nonpareils back in the bag (I don’t like jimmies on my ice cream either).

But I had just the one handful because one of my sons promptly polished off the rest of the bag. His favorite part? Combining the cookie bark with the peanut butter cups. I was particularly fond of butter toffee peanuts. That’s one of the best things about Springle Jangle—there’s something in there for everyone.
