Tori Spelling Shares Where She Stands With Mom Candy After Prior Feud

Tori Spelling appears to be relishing in her improved relationship with her mom, Candy Spelling.

The mother-daughter duo—who were previously believed to be estranged a while back—have been on good terms in recent years. And, on Wednesday, Sept. 20, the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum proved that this is still very much the case thanks to a sweet birthday tribute.

Specifically, Tori, 50, took to Instagram to deliver a heartfelt message to Candy, who just turned 78. In the loving social media post, the TV star shared a series of wholesome photos with her mother from throughout her childhood.

"Happy Birthday Mommy aka @candyspelling. I love you. Grateful to be your daughter," Tori wrote in the post dedicated to her look-alike mom.

"Some of my happiest memories involve laughing so hard with you that we were happy crying uncontrollably and you doing your LOL wheeze… 😂," she continued, while tagging her brother Randy Spelling, and adding, "you know the one!"

The Messyness star went on to mention her late father, renowned film and TV producer Aaron Spelling, who died in 2006.

"I never take for granted the beautiful life you raised Rand and I in with Dad," she wrote, adding, "And, I am such a resilient and strong human and I owe so much of that to you."

2023 has certainly been a tough year for Tori. Not only was she driven from her mold-infested home, resulting in health issues for her family, but her husband Dean McDermott shocked fans when he announced their separation in June.

The 56-year-old actor shared at the time, "It’s with great sadness and a very very heavy heart that after 18 years together and 5 amazing children, that @torispelling and I have decided to go our separate ways, and start a new journey of our own."

He continued, "We will continue to work together as loving parents and guide and love our children through this difficult time. We ask that you all respect our privacy as we take this time to surround our family with love and work our way through this. Thank you all for your support and kindness.

However, these myriad of life changes have not fazed Tori, who added in her tribute to Candy, "Strong 💪 women run in our family. I’m passing it on," seemingly referencing daughters Stella, 15, and Hattie, 11.

The former pair are also parents to three sons, Liam, 16, Finn, 11 and Beau, 6.
