Tori Spelling has had a tumultuous year when it comes to her living situation—and the latest unfortunate update involves an armed standoff.

On Oct. 18, Spelling and her children evacuated their Los Angeles home when a SWAT team responded to a neighbor allegedly taking someone hostage. The incident unfolded at 9:06 a.m., the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to People.

The man allegedly threatened to shoot officers with a rifle during the standoff, the outlet reported. Ultimately, officers took the suspect into custody, and no one was harmed in the incident.

Photos obtained by Page Six show the actress running to her property to find her kids while a man barricaded himself inside his house. As officers surrounded the neighbor's house, Spelling watched the scene play out behind yellow police tape with fellow neighbors. A video also showed officers arriving in armored vehicles.

The scary incident unfolded amid Spelling's separation from Dean McDermott. The estranged couple shares five children: Liam, Stella, Hattie, Finn and Beau.

In May, the Beverly Hills, 90210 star and her kids moved out of a different rental home upon discovering a mold infestation. The mold, unbeknownst to the family, was to blame for a "spiral of sickness" they experienced for months on end.

"Our troubles are next level with our mold problem and the house that's been slowly killing us for 3 years," Spelling wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post, adding, "My kids are so sick and can't get well and our family needs help."

The actress and her children briefly lived in an RV after they moved out of the mold-infested property.

Hopefully, Spelling and her kids are coping as best as they can following the scary standoff near their new rental home.
