Tom Brady engaged in some serious vaguebooking on Tuesday, posting a cryptic quote to his Instagram stories about the heart of a man. But it's currently anyone's best guess as to what the 46-year-old former star quarterback is referring to.

The quote in question is titled "A Man is His Heart," from a famous speech Muhammad Ali gave while speaking out against apartheid and racial injustice at the United Nations in 1978.

"The personality of a person. The ways of a person. His thoughts. His deeds. His actions. Are all based on his heart," the quote reads. "For what is a man? A man is his heart. A lying cheating heart means a lying cheating man. A loving merciful heart means a loving merciful man. A living heart means a living man. A dead heart means a dead man. Regardless to man’s title. Regardless to man’s rank, wealth, or position, if the heart is not great then he cannot not be great. But if the heart is great then man remains great under all circumstances, rich or poor, large or small, for it is the heart that makes one large or small."

"Be proud of the man in the glass!" Brady added in his own caption.

Could Brady have been giving himself a pep talk, years after the New England Patriots infamous deflategate scandal? Or could the otherwise squeaky clean future Hall of Famer possibly be throwing shade at an unnamed party?

It's now been just over a year since Brady divorced from his wife of 13 years, Gisele Bündchen. And although he hasn't spoken much about the split, he was most recently linked to model Irina Shayk. The couple reportedly parted ways back in October, but were spotted together earlier this month at Art Basel in Miami.

In either case, while it's impossible to know what's bouncing around in his head, it's certainly interesting, to say the least.
