Tiny Chipmunk Makes a Trade with Human in Return for a Delicious Snack
Chipmunks are not only adorable, but these small, curious, and resourceful rodents can exhibit certain levels of intelligence when it comes to foraging for food or making shelters.
Just check out what this little guy does in exchange for some nuts in a video posted October 1.

TikTok user @Adam_antman shared the sweet video of the totally fair trade and TikTok users are loving this bartering chipmunk. @Paula comments, "Leaves are payment, chipmunk money if you will." @Lindsey adds, "I would accept payment from a chipmunk any day." @@Lovepink replies, "Awwwwwwww… you are giving him food for the winter. He is helping you make a nest. How precious is this?!"
It's pretty incredible to watch this little dude continue stuffing all the nuts into his face, and that's because chipmunks have cheek pouches that allow them to carry large quantities of food back to their burrows. They stash away the food in different locations and remember where they are stored, even when they must retrieve them months later. They are pretty resourceful little fellows! They hibernate during the winter so the chipmunk above was probably pretty excited for the extra snacks in preparation for cold weather.
