TikTok Is Obsessed With This New 'Pickle Dr. Pepper' Hack At Sonic
One day we'll get to the bottom of the obsession with bizarre pickle pairings, but in the meantime, let us introduce you to Pickle Dr. Pepper! The beverage has taken over TikTok and people have a lot to say about the peculiar drink.
But what exactly is a Pickle Dr. Pepper, you ask? First off, it seems that you can only purchase the drink at Sonic (although it isn't an official menu item). When you order a Pickle Dr. Pepper, you'll receive a cup filled with Dr. Pepper and either a side of pickles or pickles already tossed into the drink.
TikTok user @mississippimemaw was one of the first to document her experience ordering the drink. She started off by pulling into the drive-thru and requesting "a large Dr. Pepper with pickles," and to our surprise she was not met by any pushback from the cashier.
"Don't knock it 'til you try it. If you like pickles and you like Dr. Pepper and you're probably like 'Ew gross. I would never ever drink that.' But there's a lot of people that do drink this. Cause you hear the way she took my order?" she said.
Although @mississippimemaw declared the drink "really good," other users on TikTok had some concerns about the Pickle Dr. Pepper. Their biggest issue was that you can't actually taste the pickles.
"Maybe they don't have enough pickles in there. I don't taste it. I don't taste the pickle at all...I don't taste the pickle whatsoever. I'mma just eat it," said @ash_loves_condiments.
I know we're not the only ones wondering if not being able to taste the pickles is actually a bad thing or not.
