Tiffany Trump slammed for 'tone-deaf' post amid Puerto Rico crisis

The youngest daughter of president Trump broke her month-long social media silence with a photo of herself in a fitted black lace minidress and black stilettos this weekend.

Tiffany Trump looks happy in the selfie shot by renowned fashion photographer Fadil Berisha. However, her comment section was flooded with angry people who are calling her ‘tone-deaf’ for not addressing the struggles Puerto Rico is facing after Hurricane Maria left the entire island struggling for basic supplies.

Her latest smiling selfie angered many. Commenters began slamming her for not caring or showing compassion about the Puerto Rican crisis.

One commenter wrote, “Cool story, what about maybe instead using your time and energy to help the people of Puerto Rico who desperately need your help instead of posing in Forever XXI prom dresses?!?”

Another commenter added, “Great job helping Puerto Rico! Disgusting.”

Other commenters weren’t as harsh but offered advice to the first daughter, “It’s a beautiful photo! Just lovely! But, sweetie, your present will haunt you if you don’t come across compassionate somehow for victims of the tragic hurricanes. Plenty of time for dress-up later!”

The 23-year-old’s last photo was back in August to announce her first day of law school at Georgetown University. She then refrained from posting on Instagram for the entire month of September.

Her latest public appearance was at the Taoray Wang fashion show during New York fashion week.

Despite Tiffany’s silence on Puerto Rico, the other Trump clan members have been fervently expressing their good wishes to the U.S. territory on social media and the president is scheduled to visit the island next week with wife Melania.
