Thom Browne is adding yet another notch to his belt.

The American designer is debuting a new bedding line during a multi-day installation at Milan’s Salone del Mobile this week.

Browne opened his made-to-measure shop in New York City’s West Village in 2003, introducing a sartorial uniform that redefined modern tailoring. His eponymous label has since expanded into complete men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collections, footwear, accessories, and fragrances. Home decor was the next obvious area to delve into.

As always, the 58-year-old designer has incorporated the idea of uniformity into the new collection for Thom Browne Home. The bedding, created in collaboration with luxury linen company Frette, showcases Browne’s distinctive aesthetic. Many pieces feature his signature four-bar motif and muted tones, for instance. The line includes cotton sateen sheets ($1,300) and duvet sets ($1,500) in white with gray piping, as well as a three-piece towel set ($408) and a bath mat ($300) also in white. Other highlights include a blanket ($2,800) and a decorative pillow ($380) made from gray cashmere.

Frette was founded in 1860 but had never worked with a fashion house before Browne. The brand’s chief executive Filippo Arnaboldi told The New York Times that other labels have come knocking, but none had “the right DNA or the right image that could have really been complementary.” In addition, Arnaboldi believes the partnership will boost Frette’s presence in lackluster markets, adding that Thom Browne “is very, very, very, very strong in Southeast Asia and China,” and Frette is not.

Browne first forayed into homewares last November, unveiling a glassware collection with the crystal experts at Baccarat. He has also created tableware with the porcelain purveyors at Haviland & Co. Such collabs have become commonplace in the fashion industry, as brands seek to expand their portfolios beyond apparel. Ralph Lauren teamed up with English pottery outfit Burleigh nearly five years ago, for example. Still, Browne’s homeware range has a distinctly minimalist style that will compliment any abode. Not to mention, the pieces will pair perfectly with your Thom Browne suit.

The Thom Browne by Frette collection will be displayed at the Palazzina Appiani in Milan from April 17 to 21. If you’re heading to Milan, check out these 10 must-see exhibitions.
