Teenager Kai Jones Is Back Skiing Like He Never Left

Kai Jones is a 16-year-old professional freeskier stomping tricks like it's nothing.

Yesterday, Kai posted a casual clip of him throwing a cork 7 off a natural cliff and stomping it, in signature Kai style.

At 16, Jones already appears in 5 separate Teton Gravity Research films, and Kai first won the North American Junior Freeride series when he was 11 years old.

Unfortunately, last March in Wyoming's backcountry, Jones suffered season-ending injuries. Kai Jones reported, "I had a ski accident. After dropping a natural cliff feature and having a hard landing, my tibia tubercles broke and pulled off at the growth plate."

Kai was hauled out of the backcountry by helicopter and taken to the nearest waiting ambulance.

This season, Kai is back and better than ever.

Even though the clip posted to his Instagram yesterday wasn't from this season (could you guess by the snow?) Kai is ready for big things this year.

Jackson Hole commented, "Mayor of Stomptown, USA."

Fellow Jackson Hole big-mountain skier Teton Brown commented the "100" emoji.

Sometimes, less is more. There's really nothing else to say. The clip speaks for itself.

After training hard and workout out all dry season, what crazy stunt will Jones pull this winter?

Your guess is as good as ours, but we're ready for those clips to start rolling in.
