As a surfer, I tend to associate the word "tube" with barrels. As it turns out, there's another, equally gnarly meaning.

16-year-old professional freeskier Kai Jones is not only living most adult skier's dreams, he's doing it in style. Earlier this month, Kai released a raw GoPro POV of him skiing a 1000-foot straightline.

Watch Kai's footage of the line below.

Once Kai emerges from the steep tube, you can sense the joy as he screams, "oh my God, dude, that was so gnarly!"

Who knew keeping your skis on the ground could be such an adrenaline rush?

A Jackson, Wyoming native, Jones has already been in 5 Teton Gravity Research films, and he's not even legally old enough to drink, and Kai first won the North American Junior Freeride series when he was 11 years old.

It may come as no surprise, then, that Kai's dad is Todd Jones, co-founder of Teton Gravity Research and professional skier himself. That makes Jeremy Jones Kai's uncle.

Even with that kind of family background, Kai earns his film spots. Pretty hard to argue that with footage like this, don't you think?
