Animal shelters across the United States are asking Taylor Swift fans to donate $13 to their local animal shelter in honor of Swift's birthday on December 13. The #TaylorSwiftChallenge was started by The Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and it's such an amazing idea.

Are you ready for it?

The post reads in part, "We are asking fans, and animal advocates alike, to donate her favorite number, $13 (unless you’re feeling $22), to local animal shelters in celebration of her birthday on December 13."

Pennsylvania SPCA director of public relations Gillian Kocher told Fox News Digital that the idea was sparked by Swift’s recent magazine cover, which honored her as TIME’s 2023 Person of the Year.

Swift posed on the cover with her own rescue cat, Benjamin Button.

Kocher also stressed the importance of adopting this holiday season if gifting a pet is on your shopping list.

"There are so many deserving animals just waiting for loving homes, and there is truly no better gift than that of a forever home," she said.
