Target Is Selling a $30 'Comfortable' Active Dress So Similar to Lululemon and Shoppers Say It 'Fits Great'

Workout dresses aren’t just for working out, and that’s kind of the best part of them—other than the fact that they’re very comfortable. This is, of course, thanks to the fact that they were made for movement. But back to our original point; active dresses are great options for daily activities that don’t even require working out or much movement at all. Retailers like Lululemon have really perfected tennis and workout dresses and they’re becoming more of an everyday thing. And one of Target’s newest athleisure dresses really hits the spot when it comes to this trend.
The dress in question—Women's Fine Rib Active Dress—is from one of Target’s activewear brands, All In Motion. It’s $30, comes in two colors—lilac purple and taupe—and comes in sizes XS to XXL. It has many special “features” like moisture-wicking and quick-dry fabric, flat seams, built-in shorts and UPF 50+ protection. It’s a short, simple A-line silhouette with a high scoop neck and thin straps that come together in a V-back.

Popular Target shopping Instagram account, @shesattarget, posted about the dress and how she “love[s] this so much for comfy and cute errand-running, hot girl walks or some pickleball?!” The comfort factor is thanks to the fabric, made with 74% recycled polyester and 26% spandex, which also delivers a lightweight feeling.
Even though there aren’t a ton of reviews just yet, people seem to really like this style. On that same post, an Instagram user commented, “Obsessed with the high neck on this!” And out of the few reviews we do have, someone wrote that this is a "really soft comfortable dress.”
Another shopper titled their review, “Target nailed it with this dress" and wrote, “WOW, this is quite possibly the most flattering thing I’ve ever put on my body.” They go on to say that it “fits incredibly well, smooths everything out and hugs your curves just right.”
“Please make this in more colors, I will be first in line to purchase them all…” they added.
As we said at the top, this active dress is very similar to other retailers, like Lululemon’s new Ribbed Softstreme Slim-Fit Tank Dress ($138). The straps and silhouette are different, but it has ribbed fabric that’s also quick-drying.
Another brand with a similar dress is Girlfriend Collective, which has its RIB Bea Banded Dress ($98). It’s nearly identical in design and has a ribbed fabric that is also a mostly polyester, spandex blend (83% recycled plastic bottles—RPET, or recycled polyester)—and 17% spandex).
