The 2016 American Music Awards were full of touching moments and controversial celebrity roasts, but while all of that makes for some great TV, it was the stunning celebrity beauty looks that really caught our eye. On Sunday night, Taraji P. Henson chose ridiculously long extensions in a low ponytail for her AMA look, giving off some major Rapunzel vibes.

The look, created by celebrity hairstylist Tym Wallace, was ultrasleek and unlike anything Henson has ever done on the red carpet before (especially since her hair has been supershort lately).

At a second glance, the lengthy ponytail is slightly reminiscent of ultralong braid Beyoncé wore during her “Formation World Tour,” and like that braid, Taraji’s hairdo seems like it would take less than 10 minutes to do yourself. According to Wallace, the steps for re-creating the look are relatively easy to do at home.

In order to imitate Taraji’s ponytail, first buy yourself extra-long extensions (Taraji’s are 36 inches!) that have a natural, wavy texture without frizz or flyaways. Then use a flat iron to straighten your natural hair. Once the whole head has pin-straight hair, create a strong center part and slick back the hair into a low ponytail. Wrap the extensions around your natural hair and secure with bobby pins to finish up the look.
