Tamar Braxton's Fiancé JR Robinson Confirms He Broke Up With the Singer

Tamar Braxton's fiancé Jeremy "JR" Robinson confirmed the two have split.
"So many questions. So many assumptions. I want to answer all that I can with respect. Yes, Tamar and I are no longer together," the attorney shared in a message posted to his Instagram Story on Oct. 1. "I ended the relationship to focus on getting back to positive energy & being a better person."
"What happened and why - That's our private place," he continued, explaining that the details of why they called it quits about seven months after getting engaged during the final episode of Peacock's Queens Court would remain private.
Robinson did attempt to quell the public's curiosity by denying rumors that he cheated, was involved in the burglary of Braxton's car last month, and only signed on to the Peacock dating show–which followed the Braxton Family Values star, Basketball Wives alum Evelyn Lozada and singer Nivea on their search for love–and subsequent relationship with Braxton for fame.
"No. I never cheated. No. I wasn't there when she was at her mother's place when her car was burglarized. No. I never cared about fame," Robinson went on, "Who reveals their most embarrassing moments in their life to find fame."
"I have always represented famous people and truth is I was in an amazing place financially and mentally. I turned down [Queens Court] several times before I gave in," he wrote. "Ultimately, I fell in love and it did not end how I wanted it."
"So. I want to heal. Tamar and I will always be friends and family for life. Thank you for respecting our privacy," Robinson concluded.
The "Love and War" singer has not yet commented on the couple's breakup.
This would have been Braxton's third marriage, as she previously tied the knot with producer Darrell "Delite" Allamby in 2001, but they ultimately called it quits in 2003. Five years later, she married Streamline Records founder Vincent Herbert–with whom she shares a son–though the two divorced in 2019.
