The New Sweet & Salty Costco Snack That’s Flying Off Shelves

Some folks prefer sweet snacks, while others go for salty stuff. But the category that most people can agree on is salty-sweet, where the two flavors come together in perfect harmony. And a new Costco treat is here for all of your salty-sweet cravings. The Rolling Pin Co. Sea Salt Caramel Pretzel Bark dropped in Northeast warehouses in August and is now reportedly in Los Angeles and Hawaii and shoppers are buying multiple bags.

What are they? Oh, just dark chocolate bark-covered crushed pretzels with a caramel drizzle and sprinkled with sea salt.

Fans have — not surprisingly — gone wild for it. Popular Costco account @costcobuys posted about the Rolling Pin Co. Sea Salt Caramel Pretzel Bark on TikTok, telling followers, "It's so delicious," @costcobuys declared. "With a dark chocolate base, crushed pretzels, caramel drizzle and the perfect amount of sea salt, you can never have enough…I couldn’t help myself, and I was munching even before I got home."

The treat costs $9.99 and comes in 20 oz. resealable bags for "double the amount of snacking," according to @costcobuys (and probably freshness, too). It's totally delectable on its own, but another creator shared an utterly genius (and dangerous) idea inspired by Rolling Pin Co.'s Instagram account: Dipping the treat in ice cream.

“I saw on their Instagram that they dipped it in the Costco food court’s ice cream, so I had to do it," said Laura Lamb, the creator behind @costcohotfinds. "The [sweetness] and saltiness of this dark chocolate bark is to die for. I have officially hidden this bag on the top shelf of my pantry."

Lamb isn't alone. One Costco shopper has a very special way of dealing with the bark's siren song. "Sometimes, I pick up the bag, just look at it for a bit and feel it, and then I put it down because I know if they come home, I’ll eat the whole thing," wrote a shopper. "But I still need to touch it."

Others 100/10 can confirm that's exactly what would happen.

"Careful with these," warned a commenter. "They’re as bad as those little chocolate chip cookies —  can’t put 'em down."

"They were sampling it today," said a shopper. "Oh man….it was so good."

Commenters also loved the ice cream hack.

"It’s soooo good," wrote a fan about the Sea Salt Caramel Pretzel Bark by itself. "I need another bag! Great idea with ice cream."

"I’ve tried them, and they are good, but now I have to grab some ice cream," said another. "Thank you."

It's what the 'Gram is here for, right?

Lamb used vanilla soft serve just like the Rolling Pin Co., but another poster is dreaming about a different combo.

"I bet it’s even better with a strawberry ice cream," someone said.

The creator behind @costscoexperts threw another idea onto the already sweet pile: Use the bark on your fall-themed snack boards. They had pieces of the bark alongside cheese, nuts, crackers, grapes — and a bowl of candy corn. "So good! Already on my second bag," they said.

Whether you dip the new Costco Sea Salt Caramel Pretzel Bark in vanilla ice cream or strawberry or nothing at all, chances are good that you'll gobble it up quickly.

"I would eat the bag in a day," predicted a commenter.
