If anybody has the privilege of experiencing better perks at Costco than the actual membership holders, its Costco employees. Blessed with insider knowledge and firsthand experience in all things regarding the popular membership warehouse club, Costco employees are pretty much the end-all be-all source of information in any Costco-related debate.

So when a Reddit post was created by a customer to get an idea of what must-have items shoppers like to pick up at Costco, it was only a matter of time before an actual employee chimed in with some very useful information. On the topic of best lunchtime options, it turns out that the ideal meal does not live in the food court. Shocking? Maybe not so much — especially if you’re already a fan of Costco’s premade deli sandwich and wrap options.

“I work at Costco and it’s not what you think,” stated a helpful employee. “I never eat at the food court, but instead grab anything and mostly everything from the deli.” The employee went on to describe how their go-to lunch “almost every day” happens to be the Chicken and Swiss Cranberry Cream Cheese Rollers.

Featured in a plastic container with a detachable lid, each tray includes 12 chicken and cheese rollers. Each rolled in a thin flatbread and filled with roasted chicken, Swiss cheese, sliced tomatoes, lettuce and cranberry cream cheese, you can grab yourself a tray for $6.99 per pound, making the premade and precut wraps anywhere between $12 and $14 a pop.

So if you plan on making another Costco trip soon, don't forget to give the deli department some much deserved attention. It's easy to be cast in the shadow of the infamous food court — especially with all of it’s constant attention. Unless you take the time to look, you just may be missing out on some must-have Costco finds that you had no clue existed.
