Surfers Face 'SuperNatural' Slab and Gnarly Wipeouts in New Edit from Surfing Visions

Surf cinematographer Tim Bonython has a fascination with the world's biggest, most beautiful, and monstrous waves.

He's documented what surfers' nightmares are made of in his Terror Vault series and he's always shooting insane waves like Shipstern Bluff and Nazaré.

In his latest edit below, he doesn't disappoint and gives us what we've come to expect from him— death-defying wipeouts and a gnarly slab breaking over shallow reef.

Bonython captioned the edit above:

"Super Natural things happen on reef that's super shallow. Although you need the right swell direction and winds. In the edit, Lachie Rombouts dominates as do the bodyboarders. Enjoy"

At the start of the video Bonython's headed to his destination and says:

"On a swell chase and it's been so long, it's been actually the worst winter I can remember for the east coast. Really nothing that exciting to really chase but this time finally, it's only a couple of weeks before I head overseas and I'm expecting that we're gonna get something really special.

"There's a lot of hype on this place, not many places to surf besides this spot. I've shot it once before. It's just the most insane lefthand slabbing barrel, and when it's on it's really really good.

"The reason it's gonna be more on than off is because the swell's from the north so you really want a north swell to hit this reef and once it hits this reef it's just incredible the way it unloads.

It's dangerous, it's exciting, and I can't wait to get there. So just hold on and expect something really special."
