Super: Legacy Director Leaks On-Set Shot

Super: Legacy is fast becoming the most teased film in history.

The latest image to leak comes straight from the film’s director himself, James Gunn.

He tells Norwegian newspaper Svalbardposten (via VG) it's a tactical move to ward off people sneaking on set to take shots.

“We have had some who have been curious, yes, who have stood and watched,” says Gunn. “But that's perfectly fine. And that's a big difference. Because being interested in just watching is something completely different than when you have people trying to sneak into the set to take pictures that they can make money from by selling online.”

With the image below being the first from the set, there’s a danger we’ll know everything that happens in the film before it’s even out.

According to Gunn, the shot is taken from a scene in which Superman flees to an ice fortress. And there was one place Gunn wanted to film it in: the icy region of Svalbard, Norway.

“We wanted a place that was beautiful and felt like being in the middle of the Arctic,” continues Gunn. “So we looked at several places in the world. But there were many things that sold Svalbard for us over the other places. First, there is the natural beauty. But also the fact that you'll find a varied landscape here that you won't find anywhere else.”

It’s a wonder Gunn can find time to direct with all the additional promotion he does. Previously, the Superman: Legacy storyboards were shared by James Gunn.
