Summer's (unofficially) here: Where to get ice cream in Westchester, Rockland, Putnam
Lucky for Lower Hudson Valley residents: Just as summer "unofficially" starts, there are seven new ice cream spots (with more coming) in Westchester and Rockland to get your licks in.
Those include Pros and Cones, which recently opened in Mamaroneck, Penny Lick's new spot in Ossining, Bona Bona's second location in Baldwin Place, Froze Peekskill where Hudson Creamery had been, Mama Mia Desserts in Rye Brook where you can find taiyaki (aka Japanese ice cream), Longford's new Armonk spot set to open June 1, and Robin's Creamery in Nanuet where you'll find soft serve matcha, taro and ube ice cream.
Not to mention all the usual sweet shop faves whose lines out the door (we see you King Kone and Red Rooster) signal summer.
Whether your preference is rich and creamy gelato, over-the-top sundaes, fancy flavor combos, oat milk options or a simple scoop of vanilla, you can indulge your dessert cravings at the following spots.
