Last year DC fans were treated to strange, but exciting news - Suicide Squad would be getting an anime treatment. Called Suicide Squad Isekai, the series will see Amanda Waller send Task Force X to a fantasy realm, bringing an exciting clash of DC and Isekai anime.

The new trailer focuses on Harley Quinn's relationship with Joker, with her joining the rest of the team - Deadshot, Peacemaker, Clayface, and King Shark. Besides showing new scenes, the trailer is set to the ending theme of the show, composed by Vtuber Mori Calliope, titled "Go-Getters". The opening theme song is "Another World", performed by Tomoyasu Hotei.

Watch the trailer below:

"When I first debuted, one of my biggest dreams was to someday write and perform songs for anime," said Mori Calliope in a statement to the press. "I didn’t actually think it would come true, but I always hoped. This song is a vibrant celebration of feelings I’ve learned to treasure while being an artist- be yourself, unapologetically and without shame. Even if people villainize you, live loud and proud and be true to yourself. These are words I needed to hear myself, and so I wrote them for myself and for all of us. Please enjoy the electrifying beats provided by Giga and Teddyloid, as well!"

This is the third official trailer from WB Japan and WIT Studio's upcoming anime. The series is directed by Eri Osada, with character designs by Akira Amano, who you may know from his work on Psycho-Pass. The series is written by Tappei Nagatsuki and Eiji Umehara (RE: Zero), with music composed by Kenichiro Suehiro.

An official description of the series reads:

In the crime-ridden city of Gotham, Amanda Waller, the head of A.R.G.U.S., has assembled a group of notorious criminals for a mission: Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Peacemaker, Clayface, and King Shark. These Super-Villains are sent into an otherworldly realm that’s connected to this world through a gate. It’s a world of swords and magic where orcs rampage and dragons rule the skies—an “ISEKAI”!

Harley and others go on a rampage after arriving in ISEKAI but are captured by the Kingdom's soldiers and sent to prison. They only have 72 hours before the bomb on their neck explodes. The deadline is fast approaching. After negotiations with Queen Aldora, the condition for liberation was the conquest of the hostile Imperial army. They have no choice but to throw themselves head-first into the front line of battle.

They run; they die. They lose; they die. With their lives on the line, can Harley Quinn and The Suicide Squad survive in ISEKAI?
