StinkFest returns to The Wild Ramp Farmers Market

Apr. 22—HUNTINGTON — Area residents are invited to open their minds — and their nostrils — to the piquant aroma and the Appalachian tradition of the ramp.

The eighth annual StinkFest will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 27 at The Wild Ramp Farmers Market.

"We are excited to bring back StinkFest to the Wild Ramp for another year of culinary exploration and community camaraderie," Rebecca Gray, The Wild Ramp market director, said. "StinkFest is a unique opportunity for visitors to experience the adventurous side of food and discover new flavors while supporting local producers and artisans."

The day will include vendors, live entertainment like the Lincoln County Cloggers, the crowning of StinkFest King and Queen, karaoke, drawings and other family-friendly activities.

Chef Nick Atkins will prepare a meal of ramp cornbread, ham, fried ramps, potatoes and beans featuring food from local farmers.

The Wild Ramp, at 555 14th St. West, is a nonprofit organization working to support local farmers, food producers and artisans in the area.

Admission is free and parking will be available.
