Stella McCartney is celebrating 15 years of its signature Falabella tote bag, the revolutionary vegan silhouette that changed the state of the luxury fashion industry for good. Acting as a "vehicle for innovation" within the McCartney brand, the bag symbolizes a shift towards a more responsible future, merging craftsmanship and quality with innovative, animal-free materials.

Handcrafted by Italian artisans, the bag made its debut in McCartney's Winter 2009 collection and has since undergone a series of special editions courtesy of Disney, Haijme Sorayama and Urs Fischer, and featured heavily within the brand's most iconic campaigns.

Named after Stella's favorite species of pony, the bag features a monogrammed lining made of ocean plastics and each come hand-laced with organic cotton rope. Since its debut, the bag has pioneered several next-gen alternatives to animal leather including MIRUM, VEGEA and YATAY, made from grape by-products, agricultural waste and recycled fibres.

Commemorating the 15th anniversary, the "Falabella Stellabration" will result in a new edit of four, limited-edition styles including lead-free crystals, crackled metallic silver and diamond-cut chains.
