Springtime smoothies with great taste and nutrition
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — Three smoothie recipes perfect for spring!
Very berry smoothie recipe
INGREDIENTS
1 c. Fairlife reduced fat milk
1 (5.3 oz) Greek yogurt cup
2 c. Mixed berries
1/2 c. Frozen avocado chunks
1/2 c. oats
DIRECTIONS
Add milk, Greek yogurt, fruit, avocado, nut butter and oats in this order to your blender. Blend until smooth.
To make parfait style chose 2-3 toppings of choice, (I used chia seeds, granola, blueberries and strawberries), in a cup or mason jar, scoop start by adding the smoothie mix then alternate with adding a layer of your toppings, then more smoothie mix. Continue in this order for desired amount. Enjoy!
Tropical Green Smoothie (non-dairy)
INGREDIENTS
1 c. Oatly Oat milk
2 (5.3 oz siggi plant- based yogurt cups)
1 T Honey
2 c. Tropical fruit mix
1 c. Frozen spinach
handful of frozen avocado
1/2 scoop unflavored pea protein
DIRECTIONS
Add all ingredients (liquids first) to the blender. Blend and enjoy!
Chocolate peanut butter banana smoothie
INGREDIENTS
1 c. Fairlife chocolate milk
1 Banana
1 T Cacao nibs
1 T Honey
2 T Almond butter
DIRECTIONS
Add all ingredients to a blender, transfer to a serving bowl and top with your favorite toppings! I used sliced almonds, bananas, granola, and dark chocolate chips
