Spiritual life: Worship service celebrates coming of the Holy Spirit

LA GRANDE — The La Grande First Christian Church will celebrate Pentecost on Sunday, May 19. Those who attend the 10:30 a.m. worship service are encouraged to wear reds, oranges and yellows to represent the flames of the holy spirit, which descended on Jesus' followers.
Bible study for adults is offered on Sundays at 9 a.m., prior to the weekly service. On May 19, there will be a General Board meeting after worship.
Bible studies are held during the week: Mighty Men on Mondays at 11 a.m., Bible Sleuths on Mondays at 4 p.m., and Homemakers on Thursdays at 1:30 p.m. New members are welcome.
