Sol de Janeiro Is Launching Sunscreen, Just in Time for Summer

Officially available beginning March 27, the Rio Radiance SPF 50 Collection features three SPF products: Rio Radiance SPF 50 Body Lotion Sunscreen ($40), Rio Radiance SPF 50 Body Spray Sunscreen ($36), and Rio Radiance SPF 50 Shimmering Body Oil Sunscreen ($38) created to delight—and more importantly protect!—your skin no matter the season.

The Inspiration

The Rio Radiance SPF 50 Collection's tagline is "sunscreen worthy of your skin." With that being said, the products are made to protect your precious outer layer while allowing you to bask in the scent of solar tuberose, leite de coco, and warm sand—a true solar floral fragrance that you already know and love from the brand's Rio Radiance Perfume Mist ($38).

In a particularly genius move, Sol de Janeiro tapped Sofia Richie Grainge to be the face of the line. Bronzed and beautiful, the model glistens under the Rio sun in the campaign partially thanks to her new body oil, which features a touch of golden mica for an instant shimmer.

The Formulas

With an already beloved scent as inspiration, Sol de Janeiro set out to create three all-new formulations for their latest line.

Ideal for all skin types, each body product—an oil, a spray, and a lotion—was created to nourish your skin with ingredients like Cupuaçu butter (which locks in non-greasy moisture), niacinamide (which visibly brightens to help even your skin tone), and pongamia seed extract (which delivers powerful antioxidants). The body spray features coconut water for a bit of refreshment, while the body oil deeply nourishes with patauá oil.
