Snow Golf Returns To Alpine For The 38th Consecutive Year
Palisades Tahoe is once again hosting the 38th Annual Snow Golf Tournament and the Spring Tracks Music Series, presented by Ikon Pass. On April 27th, guests can compete on the only top-to-bottom snow golf course.
This year, the course will feature 10 holes, where the final hole will feature a "closest to the pin" challenge, adding an extra layer of competition. Watch vintage footage from a news clip covering the event below.
The course starts at Alpine's Summit Express chair and meanders its way down the mountain, bringing competitors to The Chalet for a Caddyshack-themed afterparty.
The event lasts from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. with free, first-come, first-serve, limited-space registration. Participants must have a valid lift ticket or pass to join. Groups of four are encouraged, and prizes will be awarded and raffled off from Yeti, Smith, and a round of golf for 4 at The Links at Everline.
We all know half the reason to visit Tahoe is the view: Lake Tahoe, the mountains reflecting off the lake when it's clear, the vast and dark green forests... and what better way to take that in than from a mountain playing snow golf?
On April 20th, 27th, and May 4th, there will be free, live music on the KT Deck. The music artists include:
April 20th at 5 p.m.: G. Love (modern pop with blues roots)
April 27th from 2-5 p.m.: Flosstradamus, a Tahoe Live pop-up show (DJ and producer with collaborations with artists such as Major Lazer, A-Trak, and Post Malone).
Flosstradamus has been a favorite artist since high school, so it's crazy this concert is free!
May 4th from 4-6 p.m.: DJ Logic (DJ blending jazz with hip-hop, with collabs with Medeski Martin and Wood, John Mayer, and The Roots).
DJ Logic's performance follows the Cushing Crossing event at Palisades Tahoe.
There's a lot on tap that's exciting for residents, guests, and anyone who loves a good party. Some of the POWDER crew will probably turn up for the snow golf, so come by and say hi--and enjoy a fun Tahoe tradition, obviously!
