Skull and Bones - How To Find Relics of the Past Treasure

skull-and-bones-pirates

It’s not a pirate adventure without some treasure hunting, right? Skull and Bones may revel in its naval battles, but it’s the exploration that will reward you the most if you know where to look. That’s where the Relics of the Past contract comes in, serving as a tutorial for treasure hunting in the game.

It may look like a time-consuming task but with this guide, you’ll find the Relics of the Past treasure item in the blink of an eye. Ok, it might take slightly longer than that, but stay with us.

You’ll get the contract from a Sea People Merchant at the Vorona Falls outpost, which you’ll have visited during the Brokered Ground contract. Just walk up to the vendor and accept the contract, after which you’ll receive the Sea People Relic clue.

After getting the map, open it from the ship cargo menu. If you have the contract selected as your current activity, you can quickly view the map from the current activity menu in the game.

If you’ve played Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, then you’ll be familiar with what follows. The map includes a hint of the location of the relic, with an ‘X’ marked on the exact spot. The note on the map reads:

“One of our camps was raided by the Fara at Red Isle, Tenina Coast, in Fort Louis, and our brothers and sisters returned to the Sea. We left our items there for fear of another raid, the relic included.”

As written in the note, you’ll have to sail to the Tenina Coast, which is to the south of where you accepted the contract. Navigate to Fort Luis, which is located on the eastern side of the coast. The location will appear as “undiscovered”, both on the screen and on your map, which you can find by filtering the icons to only show locations for the active contract.

After reaching and disembarking on Fort Luis, turn left to find the ruins of a boat, next to a cross and some shovels. This matches the drawing on the map, with an orange ray of light illuminating the dig spot. Dig up the item to retrieve the Lost Sea People relic.

Now, to finish the contract you’ll have to return the relic to Palisade Bay. It’s quite close to Vorona Falls where you received the map. Palisade Bay is located to the northwest of Sainte-Anne, near The Giant’s Leap. Sail to the island and deliver the relic to finish the contract.

That's not the end of the adventure though, as there are many more secrets to uncover in Skull and Bones. You'll want to get a better ship for combat while on your treasure hunts, and the Padewakang Bombardier Ship is the best place to start.
