Simone Biles Is ‘The Catch’ in Loved-Up Holiday Photos With Husband

Simone Biles' husband and football pro Jonathan Owens appears to have shared a subtle message regarding the criticism of his recent comments about their relationship.

The NFL safety shared a trio of images via Instagram on Christmas Day, showing the 28-year-old holding the Olympic gymnast in his arms, a nod to the controversial remark he made about being the "catch" in their relationship and not knowing who Biles was when the two first met on dating app Raya.

In the images, Owens is holding his wife of eight months, wearing festive, matching plaid PJs while posing in front of a white Christmas tree decorated with silver ornaments and blue bows.

"Merry Christmas everyone," Owens wrote in the caption alongside two heart emojis, one yellow and one green, to represent his team the Green Bay Packers.

The sweet new post came after he shut down those critical of his Dec. 2023 appearance on The Pivot podcast in another Instagram post, writing, "Unbothered 😂❤️ Just know we locked in over here 🤞🏽."

Biles also shared her own Christmas Day snaps online. The first featured the couple in the same position as those uploaded to Owens' grid, except this time, they were kissing. In the second shot, the two said cheers with two bright red cocktails, and the third image showed just the NFL star shaking a gift box by his ear.

"MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎁❤️," she exclaimed in the caption of her Monday, Dec. 25, upload.

Immediately following Owens' comments, Biles took to her Instagram Story and X account (formerly Twitter), attempting to put an end to the comments, asking critics, "are y’all done yet?"

They were not, apparently, as the comments section of both the gold medalist and her husband filled up with replies like "She’s the catch 😍," "Here is the most known and respected athlete in US… and there is her husband by her side 😂," "simone biles and her husband idk his name tho," "Mr. and Mrs. Simone Biles 😍," and "Look, it’s the most decorated US gymnast in US Olympic history! And her… catch?"

"Really surprised she left these comments on 🤭," another joked.
