Sure, you could dress up as a witch or a black cat for Halloween this year. But if you really want to switch things up, you can always go as … a Popeyes spicy chicken sandwich? Yep, it's a thing, thanks to the new "Sold Out Chicken Sandwich Costume" from Yandy.

The $79.95 Yandy costume doesn't mention Popeyes by name — the company probably doesn't want to be sued by the chicken chain — but the reference is pretty clear. Fans across the country tweeted their frustration about not being able to try the Popeyes chicken sandwich when it hit stores in August, as it was frequently sold out. The sandwich disappeared from the Popeyes menu at the end of August, though tantalizing signs in shop windows suggest it could be back eventually.

Yandy even tweeted a photo of a model in the chicken sandwich costume next to someone wearing a cow costume, no doubt a reference to the Twitter wars that erupted over the new Popeyes offering, with fans debating whether Popeyes, Chick-fil-A or other restaurants had the best fried chicken sandwich.

As for the Yandy costume, you might want to carry a Popeyes box or a piece of fried chicken if you decide to go with it. The bodysuit features a "textured chicken patty interior," though it could easily be mistaken for a burger. (And considering Yandy actually makes a Beyond Burger costume, it's an easy mistake to make.)

The sexy costume might not be exactly what these Twitter users had in mind, but plenty of people have (jokingly or not) suggested dressing up as the Popeyes chicken sandwich for Halloween.

If you're looking for a more traditional sexy Halloween costume, there are looks inspired by everything from firefighters' uniforms to Jennifer Lopez's legendary green Versace gown. And if the chicken sandwich costume does catch your eye, you can really complete the look by having friends dress up as other fast food icons, like Ronald McDonald and Colonel Sanders — and, of course, the Chick-fil-A cow.
