Olivia Jade Just Got Dropped By Another Beauty Brand, and Is That the World’s Smallest Violin I Hear?

Don't you just hate it when you're spending spring break in the Bahamas on the yacht belonging to the chairman of the board of trustees at the university it's alleged you didn't legitimately get into and you find out your famous-in-the-'90s mom is going to be arrested for bribing your way into said university? Actually, Olivia Jade — beauty-influencer daughter of Full House star and wealthy alleged hornswoggler Lori Loughlin — may be the only person on Earth who can answer that. And now, just when she was probably thinking it couldn't get much worse, Sephora has put the icing on the cake that is the 19-year-old college freshman's incredibly embarrassing week.

In December 2018, Olivia Jade — whose legal last name is the same as that of her fashion-designer father, Mossimo Giannulli — launched a collaboration with Sephora, aptly named the Olivia Jade x Sephora Collection. It started with a Bronze & Illuminate Palette, which she introduced via video to her nearly two million YouTube subscribers — and it pretty much ended with it, too. That's because Sephora is cutting ties with Olivia Jade in the wake of "Operation Varsity Blues," an FBI sting that resulted in charges that Loughlin and Giannulli paid $500,000 in bribes to have their daughters accepted to the University of Southern California as crew team recruits even though, despite photos allegedly showing Olivia Jade posing with rowing machines, they have never participated in the sport.

According to WWD, Sephora released a statement that saying, "After careful review of recent developments, we have made the decision to end the Sephora Collection partnership with Olivia Jade, effective immediately." And they do mean immediately. The Sephora website appears to have been completely wiped of any trace of Olivia Jade.

If Sephora was on the fence about continuing their relationship with Olivia Jade, public outcry might have made the decision easy. People took to Twitter and even the review section of the palette's page on the site to let the company know they want to see the collection removed from inventory. "I’m not walking into another Sephora and spending a dime until you remove the special addition cheaters palette by Olivia Jade @sephora btw I studied my ass off for my SAT test," one person tweeted. More sarcastic objectors left reviews on Sephora's website, like, "Do I get a discount if I use ENTITLEMENT or CHEATER as the promo code?" and "I love to use this product on days when I want to use my privilege to suppress and steal from more deserving individuals. Totally sweat proof, lasts all through my crew practice that I don't actually attend."

In addition to Sephora, another beauty brand Olivia Jade has partnered with through sponsored Instagram posts, Tresemmé, tells Allure via email that it is no longer working with her. However, USC is still deciding whether or not she is still welcome at the school. A spokesperson told Yahoo, "We are going to conduct a case-by-case review for current students and graduates that may be connected to the scheme alleged by the government. We will make informed, appropriate decisions once those reviews have been completed."
