Selena Gomez Dazzles in Sparkling Sheer Gown on the Emmys Red Carpet

Selena Gomez hit her latest red carpet appearance rocking a head-turning look.
The Only Murders in the Building actress attended the rescheduled 2023 Emmys, which aired on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, Jan. 15, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, Calif.
For the annual event, Gomez donned a glamorous custom Oscar de la Renta ensemble, which included a burgundy sequined detail over sheer, skin-colored material. Per E!'s red carpet coverage, Gomez's gown included over 450,000 sequins to complete the outfit. The Heart Wants What It Wants, and the heart clearly wanted sequins.
Her beauty look perfectly complimented the outfit, as she opted for a dark red lip and put her hair up into a glamorous updo.

Although Gomez, herself, wasn't nominated at the Anthony Anderson-hosted awards show, her aforementioned Hulu series received a nod in the Outstanding Comedy Series category. Additionally, her co-star, Martin Short, is up for Outstanding Lead Actor, Comedy Series for his role as Oliver Putnam in the show.
In the series, "three strangers share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one," according to a synopsis.
OMITB first premiered in Aug. 2021, and has been renewed for a fourth season, though its release date is currently tentative.
Fans had originally questioned if the former Disney Channel star would show up to the awards show, due to drama at last week's Golden Globes, when she was caught in a girl chat moment with Taylor Swift and Keleigh Sperry that quickly went viral, causing the internet to run amuck with rumors about who and what they were discussing.
Gomez briefly exited social media, announcing that she was taking a "break" to "focus on what really matters," so it's nice to see her out and about still enjoying awards show season!
