As many fans of The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, and now The Golden Bachelor well know, true love isn't always found on TV in front of millions of viewers. For every Trista and Ryan, there are dozens of couples that shoot their shot on the shows and don't make it.

Still, that doesn't mean that the details of their engagements—including their rings—aren't fascinating to fans of the franchise. Here is a look at engagement rings from The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, and The Golden Bachelor through the years.

Turner proposed to Nist with a princess cut Neil Lane ring during the Season 1 finale of The Golden Bachelor. The pair will get married live on ABC on Jan. 4, 2024.

Lawson and Olubeko got engaged after the Bachelorette contestant gave the medical specialist her final rose. Olubeko proposed with an oval-cut diamond ring on April 30, 2023. According to Olubeko's Instagram account, the two were still together as of December of the same year.

Zach Shallcross and Kaity Biggar (The Bachelor Season 27)

Shallcross and Biggar got engaged during the finale of Season 27 of The Bachelor in March 2023. Shallcross proposed to Biggar with a 3.10-carat Neil Lane ring made up of more than 150 diamonds. Biggar later told People of the ring, "It's like a huge disco ball."

Gabby Windey and Erich Schwer (The Bachelorette Season 19)

Windey and Schwer got engaged during the September 2022 finale of The Bachelorette. Schwer proposed with an oval-shaped diamond ring from Neil Lane. Unfortunately, things didn't work out between the two. In 2023, Windey revealed on Instagram that she is dating comedienne Robby Hoffman.

Rachel Recchia and Tino Franco (The Bachelorette Season 19)

Recchia and Franco got engaged in September 2022 after he proposed with an emerald cut diamond ring from Neil Lane (see slideshow above). Sadly, the two split soon after after Recchia found out Franco had been unfaithful. As she later told host Jesse Palmer during the After the Finale Rose live special, "I slowly was pulling on that string and revealing more and more. It really didn't work out, he cheated on me."

Michelle Young and Nayte Olukoya (The Bachelorette Season 18)

Young and Olukoya got engaged during the Bachelorette finale in December 2021. Olukoya proposed with a custom-made pear-shaped Neil Lane diamond ring. Sadly, the two confirmed they had ended their relationship six months later.

Katie Thurston and Blake Moynes (The Bachelorette Season 17)

Thurston and Moynes got engaged in August 2021 after the wildlife manager proposed with an oval-shaped diamond surrounded by 90 smaller gems. The two broke up weeks after their engagement.

Tayshia Adams and Zac Clark (The Bachelorette Season 16)

Adams and Cark got engaged at the end of Adams' Bachelorette season in December 2020. Clark proposed with a 3.25-carat emerald cut center diamond surrounded by dozens of smaller diamonds. The two split a year later.

Clare Crawley and Dale Moss (The Bachelorette Season 20)

Crawley and Moss made headlines in 2020 when they got engaged only a few weeks into their season of The Bachelorette. At the time, Moss presented Crawley with a 4.5-carat radiant-cut diamond ring.

The pair announced they had separated only two months after they got engaged. But they were photographed together in February 2021 and they celebrated their one-year anniversary together that July.

Two months later, Crawley and Moss were finished. In February 2023, Crawley married Ryan Dawkins, and they announced in July 2023 that they are expecting their first child together.

Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo (The Bachelorette Season 13)

Abasolo went with a romantic pear-shaped rock from Neil Lane for his proposal. Alas, he also filed for divorce after four years of marriage in January 2023.

Hannah Ann Sluss and Peter Weber (The Bachelor Season 23)

Sluss and Weber fell apart soon after they got engaged in November 2019 and Weber admitted he could not commit to the relationship. He broke up with her during the same season of the show.

Brad Womack and Emily Maynard (The Bachelor Season 15)

Womack wasn't new to the scene when he joined Season 15 of The Bachelor, having previously looked for love on the show's 11th season. Still, his second time around the block was successful at first, and he and Maynard got engaged.

Unfortunately, the two broke up before the season finished. While they did get back together after the show concluded, they ultimately went their separate ways.

Fedotowsky and Martinez got engaged at the conclusion of the sixth season of The Bachelorette in 2010, and Martinez proposed with a handcrafted 3.03-carat Neil Lane ring.

Things didn't pan out for the pair, and they broke up in November 2011. Fedotowsky married Kevin Mano in 2017.

Hannah Brown and Jed Wyatt (The Bachelorette Season 15)

Brown and Wyatt had a beautiful engagement on Season 15 of The Bachelorette, complete with a 3-carat Neil Lane ring, but they called things off soon after the finale. News broke that Wyatt was in a relationship when he applied and left to be on the show, something that Brown didn't know until things were over.

Becca Kufrin and Garrett Yrigoyen (The Bachelorette Season 14)

Kufrin and Yrigoyen got engaged early in Season 14 of The Bachelorette, but didn't reveal their status until after the show's finale aired. Things between the two didn't work out, and they broke up two years later.

Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter (The Bachelorette Season 1)

Sutter and Rehn kicked off The Bachelorette with a major success story when they got engaged (complete with a round-cut diamond ring) at the end of the first season of the show. The two got married in December 2003, had two children together and remain married.

Andrew Firestone and Jen Schefft (The Bachelor Season 3)

Firestone and Schefft got engaged at the end of Season 3 of The Bachelor after he proposed with a 2-carat oval diamond ring. Things didn't pan out, but they have both gone on to marry others and have families now.

Meredith Phillips and Ian McKee (The Bachelorette Season 2)

Phillips and McKee left the second season of The Bachelorette engaged. At the time, the show worked with jeweler Tacori, and McKee proposed with a princess-cut diamond ring. They broke up less than a year later.

Bob Guiney and Estella Gardinier (The Bachelor Season 4)

Guiney didn't actually propose to Gardinier at the end of the 4th season of The Bachelor, but he did give her a 2-carat cushion-cut diamond promise ring. The pair broke up five months later.

DeAnna Pappas and Jesse Csincsak (The Bachelorette Season 4)

Csincsak proposed to Pappas with a princess-cut diamond ring at the end of the fourth season of The Bachelorette. The two broke up in November 2008, and Pappas went on to marry Stephen Stagliano, with whom she shares two children. The pair announced their divorce in January 2023.

Csincsak married Ann Lueders in 2010, and they have three children together.

Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell (The Bachelor Season 20)

Higgins and Bushnell left the 20th season of The Bachelor engaged and even starred in their own reality show, Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After, before they broke up in May 2017. Both have married others.

Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff (The Bachelor Season 19)

Soules and Bischoff got engaged at the end of their season of The Bachelor, despite the former admitting that he was also in love with another contestant. Soules proposed with an emerald-cut diamond ring. Months later in May 2021, the two revealed they had ended their relationship.

Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson (The Bachelor Season 16)

Flajnik proposed to Robertson with a tulip-inspired diamond ring that represented all the phases of their relationship. The pair were on-and-off while filming the show and after, and eventually broke up in October 2012.

Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi (The Bachelor Season 14)

Pavelka proposed to Girardi at the end of Season 14 of The Bachelor with a $50,000, 3-carat diamond ring. The two ended up calling things off a few months after their engagement.

Emily Maynard and Jef Holm (The Bachelorette Season 8)

Maynard and Holm left the eighth season of The Bachelorette engaged, and Holm even proposed with a beautiful 3.5-carat ring. But things between the two ended two months later in October 2012.

Luyendyk proposed to Burnham with a 3-carat oval diamond ring at the end of the 22nd season of The Bachelor. But that doesn't mean things were easy for the two. Luyendky initially proposed to someone else, but decided to end things and proposed to Burnham in the end. The two got married in 2019 and have welcomed three children together to date.

Nick Viall and Vanessa Grimaldi (The Bachelor Season 21)

Viall and Grimaldi got engaged in March 2017. When Viall gave Grimaldi a diamond and platinum engagement ring, he told her they weren't ready for marriage... yet. The two ended up breaking up in August 2017.

Charlie O'Connell and Sarah Brice (The Bachelor Season 7)

O'Connell didn't end his season of The Bachelor engaged to Brice, but the pair dated for two years and eventually got engaged. They broke up but then got back together, though things were over for good in 2010.

Matt Grant and Shayne Lamas (The Bachelor Season 12)

Grant and Lamas got engaged at the end of The Bachelor: London Calling, but things didn't pan out for the pair in the long term. Lamas admitted she planned to keep the 2.85-carat platinum and diamond ring Grant proposed with.

Jason Mesnick and Melissa Rycroft (The Bachelor Season 13)

Mesnick proposed to Rycroft with an east-west engagement ring from Neil Lane. The two eventually split, and Mesnick went on to marry his No. 2 pick, Molly Malaney.

Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski (The Bachelorette Season 5)

Swiderski proposed to Harris with a Neil Lane engagement ring worth a reported $60,000. Unfortunately, he also cheated on her (or so went the rumors). The pair did not last.

Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum (The Bachelorette Season 7)

Rosenbaum proposed with a 3.5-carat, central cushion-cut engagement ring from Neil Lane and the pair actually made it to the altar. But they called it quits in 2020 after eight years of marriage and two children together.

Byron Velvick and Mary Delgado (The Bachelor Season 6)

Delgado accepted the pro-fisherman's proposal with a 3.5-carat Tacori stunner, but the pair broke up five years later. She was also arrested in 2007 for punching Velvick in the mouth.
